ARAUJO, ALVAREZ MAKES BEST PLAYER LIST

The Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy) duo of Efrain Alvarez and Julian Araujo have been recognised after they were named as part of a 22-man list for the best player under the age of 22 on the MLS football scene.

As revealed by the LA Galaxy website, defender Araujo was fifth on the list, while midfielder Alvarez came in at 12th position on the list.

The list of the best players under the age of 22 has 22 names on it. Votes from an expert panel comprising of MLS football analysts, MLS Player Department and external media members led to the compilation of the aforementioned list of the best young players in MLS football.
LA Galaxy star Araujo recently opted to represent Mexico over the United States of America (USA). The defender hails from the southern part of California and he has been one of the best defensive players in the MLS this season. He has become a key player for LA Galaxy manager Greg Vanney in his rebuild of the first team squad at the club. Araujo has perfected the act of merging ruggedness and sparks on the pitch. He has also been able to provide some assists for his teammates from the fullback area.
On his part, Alvarez is not a stranger to the list of the top-22 players in the MLS as he has been a regular since he signed for LA Galaxy as an homegrown player. The young Mexican attacking midfielder has continued to reach milestones in his short and eventful career. Also, Alvarez has enhanced his reputation in the Mexican national team and he's regarded as one of the rising stars of the Mexico team who are on course to make it through to the World Cup in Qatar next year. Alavrez is an integral part of the LA Galaxy future as things stand.
